Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
The Jaguars let Majors fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

Call it larceny. Jake Majors sat on the board until No. 132, and the Jaguars did not need to be asked twice. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The cost of the Kandra reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
In pick No. 5 they get a matchup problem out wide at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Malaki Starks
They robbed the room for Malaki Starks here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick72 Rnd3 Deone Walker
A tidy little value on Deone Walker in the Round 3 slot, a step better than break-even. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick95 Rnd3 Luke Kandra
Luke Kandra at the 95th pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick108 Rnd4 Barrett Carter
Somehow Barrett Carter was still sitting there in pick 108, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick132 Rnd4 Jake Majors
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jake Majors in Round 4, Pick 31, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
