Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Titans cashed the board's mistake on Linton: B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Titans should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

Getting Linton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They will answer for taking cornerback early while running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots went begging.

The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The James Daniels pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 JC Latham
In slot 16 they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41 Rnd2 Kris Abrams-Draine
Fair-plus on Kris Abrams-Draine, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick48 Rnd2 Kalen King
A surprising call. With running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots still to address, they spent No. 48 on Kalen King, a cornerback they were not short of.
Pick109 Rnd4 Devontez Walker
They did well to land Devontez Walker in pick 109, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick116 Rnd4 Seth McLaughlin
By-the-book stuff, Seth McLaughlin at the 116th pick squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick146 Rnd5 Sataoa Laumea
Sataoa Laumea at pick No. 146 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick187 Rnd6 Ricky White
A slide stopped in Round 6, Pick 12, with Ricky White worth more than the price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick230 Rnd7 Steve Linton
Circle this one: Steve Linton at the Round 7 slot is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
