Jackson should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bears were there to profit. Ja'Quinden Jackson, the No. 154 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 7, Pick 24. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
If Toia pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The phones were where this weekend was really won.
The Winston Jr. pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
