They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Sam Hartman, 34 picks early at the 227th overall pick. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Melton. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Chargers had louder needs to answer first.
