If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cowboys would have aced it. Trey Moore at pick No. 155 is 58 spots clear of where he belonged. The process wobbled, and the D+ is where it lands.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. With cornerback, tight end and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

They banked enough surplus on Iamaleava to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.
