The Cowboys looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Trey Moore at the 151st overall pick regardless, 112 picks early. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

The Mondon Jr. steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

Spending an early pick on safety with cornerback and tight end open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and cornerback is still a hole.
