A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D.

The Cowboys looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Barryn Sorrell at Round 5, Pick 32 regardless, 122 picks early. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

Perkins Jr. falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They will answer for taking safety early while cornerback and tight end went begging.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
