Draft Grade — Cowboys
Overall

Best value of the weekend goes to the Cowboys for Whittington: B-. Call it larceny. Jordan Whittington sat on the board until slot 247, and the Cowboys did not need to be asked twice.
Every board in the league had Ogunbiyi lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Kingsley Suamataia
In pick 26 they get protection for the quarterback, though the board says they badly overpaid. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick58
Rnd2
Jonathon Brooks
Jonathon Brooks in Round 2, Pick 26 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick89
Rnd3
Jason Marshall Jr.
They talked themselves into Jason Marshall Jr. at the Round 3 slot, and the board did not agree. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126
Rnd4
Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson at slot 126 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick174
Rnd5
Jaden Hicks
No drama and no debate, Jaden Hicks went about where he belonged in pick No. 174. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick212
Rnd6
Aki Ogunbiyi
They reached into another round for Aki Ogunbiyi, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick247
Rnd7
Jordan Whittington
You do not let a wide receiver like Jordan Whittington reach the 247th overall pick and blink. They did not. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
