Nobody else had Taylen Green anywhere near the Round 5 slot. The Cowboys did, by 103 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

They banked enough surplus on Singleton to cover a lot of smaller sins. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

If Abdul Carter and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
