Call it belief, call it a gut call, but KJ Jefferson at the 209th pick is 77 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

Getting Mondon Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Everything downstream of Cam Ward depends on Cam Ward, and the building knows it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.
