Truckley45 DRAFTING FOR THETitans
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Titans
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Titans a B. Everything else got attention, and interior defensive lineman got none. That is a strange way for the Titans to leave a draft. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
They banked enough surplus on Delane to cover a lot of smaller sins. Castell has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Rueben Bain Jr.
In the 1st pick they get a premier pass rusher. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33
Rnd2
Mansoor Delane
Value with a capital V on Mansoor Delane in pick No. 33, a genuine coup. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick65
Rnd3
Nyck Harbor
Good price on Nyck Harbor in Round 3, Pick 1, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The roster fit checks out.
Pick101
Rnd4
Harold Perkins Jr.
They paid sticker price for Harold Perkins Jr. in pick 101, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick144
Rnd5
Logan Jones
Logan Jones at the Round 5 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick179
Rnd6
Terion Stewart
A straight-up fair deal on Terion Stewart at the 179th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick215
Rnd7
Jordan Castell
They paid up for Jordan Castell at slot 215 when waiting would have done the job. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick240
Rnd7
Tristan Leigh
A reach for Tristan Leigh in No. 240; a little patience would have been rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
