Call it larceny. Jermaine Burton sat on the board until pick No. 182, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
