Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Lions spent No. 253 on David Ugwoegbu, a name the board had a full 78 spots lower. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention. A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
