Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cowboys shredded theirs for Jamaree Caldwell. He came off 93 spots early, and the room will hear about it. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

The Higgins pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

Cam Ward gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Winston Jr. pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with cornerback and tight end still on the board.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
