There is reaching, and then there is Vincent Anthony Jr. at Round 4, Pick 12. The Cowboys jumped the board by 67 and dared it to prove them wrong.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Anthony Jr. pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with cornerback, quarterback and other spots still on the board. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.

Wheatley falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
