The Cowboys let Allar fall into their laps, and walked away with a D.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Cowboys spent pick No. 209 on Barryn Sorrell, a name most had 45 spots down the list. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

However the rest shakes out, Allar at that price is a win they earned. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Dennis-Sutton pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end.

The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
