The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Patriots reached some 68 spots for Michael Harris, and value like that does not grow back. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

That Kilgore pick is the receipt they will wave around later. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
