Draft Grade — Titans
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureA+
The Titans cashed the board's mistake on Tuten: A-.

Thirty-one other rooms let Bhayshul Tuten slide, and the Titans were the ones holding the card at the 240th pick. Highway robbery.

They will need Griffith to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Mike Green
They paid sticker price for Mike Green in the 28th overall pick, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick35 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
They read the board right and Emeka Egbuka was the payoff at slot 35. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick37 Rnd2 Harold Fannin Jr.
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Harold Fannin Jr.. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick73 Rnd3 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell in the Round 3 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick97 Rnd3 Hollin Pierce
Hollin Pierce at Round 3, Pick 33 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick102 Rnd4 Kaleb Johnson
The board fumbled Kaleb Johnson all the way to the 102nd pick, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick119 Rnd4 Andrew Mukuba
Circle this one: Andrew Mukuba at No. 119 is a fall that decides a draft. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick138 Rnd5 Jake Majors
Jake Majors in pick 138 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick140 Rnd5 Patrick Bryant
No drama and no debate, Patrick Bryant went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 3. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick142 Rnd5 Chris Paul Jr.
You do not let a linebacker like Chris Paul Jr. reach pick 142 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick166 Rnd5 Jay Higgins
Jay Higgins in the 166th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It fills a real need, too.
Pick177 Rnd6 Miles Frazier
Miles Frazier at pick No. 177 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick212 Rnd6 Thor Griffith
A real head-scratcher, Thor Griffith in the 212th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick216 Rnd6 Jordan Hancock
A safety of that caliber at the Round 6 slot is the definition of value, full stop. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick222 Rnd7 Jared Wilson
A quiet steal in slot 222: Jared Wilson for less than the market said. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick240 Rnd7 Bhayshul Tuten
They robbed the room for Bhayshul Tuten here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
