The Patriots spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Walley value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The Legette reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
