Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesC- FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Titans for Smith: B-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Brashard Smith at pick No. 144 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Reaching for Carroll left real value on the table behind him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Princely Umanmielen
In No. 8 they get a bendy edge with upside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick37 Rnd2 Malachi Moore
They will replay Malachi Moore at the 37th pick for years; that is how good the value is. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick39 Rnd2 Harold Fannin Jr.
A tight end of that caliber at the Round 2 slot is the definition of value, full stop. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick108 Rnd4 Jalen Royals
Somehow Jalen Royals was still sitting there in pick No. 108, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick120 Rnd4 Jake Majors
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jake Majors in the 120th overall pick, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick144 Rnd5 Brashard Smith
They robbed the room for Brashard Smith here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick165 Rnd5 Jay Higgins
You do not let a linebacker like Jay Higgins reach pick 165 and blink. They did not. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick167 Rnd5 Quinn Carroll
Quinn Carroll at Round 5, Pick 29 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick181 Rnd6 Karene Reid
They barely believed it either: Karene Reid still on the board at pick No. 181. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick215 Rnd7 Taylen Green
Taylen Green in Round 7, Pick 1 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It fills a real need, too.
Pick243 Rnd7 Jaishawn Barham
Jaishawn Barham at the 243rd overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick253 Rnd7 Nic Anderson
A real head-scratcher, Nic Anderson in the 253rd pick is miles ahead of his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
