The Cowboys torched the value chart for Will Sheppard, taking him 86 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

The Higgins steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. So much rides on Cam Ward that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him.

A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. The Cowboys indulged a want in Winston Jr. while a need in cornerback and tight end stayed open.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
