A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D+.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cowboys would have aced it. Emery Jones Jr. at slot 107 is 86 spots clear of where he belonged.

They banked enough surplus on Stutsman to cover a lot of smaller sins. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.

A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. With cornerback, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
