The tape said wait; the Cowboys did not. Emery Jones Jr. went at the 71st overall pick, a good 122 picks before the board was ready. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Henderson. Cam Ward is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.
