The Broncos checked most of the boxes and earned a B+.

The curious call sets the tone. With linebacker, interior defensive lineman and other spots still glaring, the Broncos used the Round 4 slot on Cade Stover, a TE-EDGE they were not exactly short of. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
