Best value of the weekend goes to the Cowboys for Singleton: D.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Cowboys started one anyway for Jamaree Caldwell, 63 picks ahead of schedule. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

They banked enough surplus on Singleton to cover a lot of smaller sins. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The Cowboys indulged a want in Dennis-Sutton while a need in cornerback and tight end stayed open.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
