Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Bills: B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bills did exactly that with Richard Jibunor in Round 6, Pick 27. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Sweat falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

They left with linebacker solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Brian Thomas Jr.
In pick 28 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick60 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
Nice patience on T'Vondre Sweat, who had no business lasting to the 60th pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick99 Rnd3 Dominick Puni
They let Dominick Puni come to them and pounced at No. 99. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick129 Rnd4 Johnny Wilson
No drama and no debate, Johnny Wilson went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick159 Rnd5 Jarrian Jones
Jarrian Jones in pick No. 159 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick162 Rnd5 Malik Mustapha
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Malik Mustapha at slot 162 is the proof. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick198 Rnd6 Tyrice Knight
They talked themselves into Tyrice Knight at pick No. 198, and the board did not agree. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick202 Rnd6 Richard Jibunor
A big swing on Richard Jibunor at Round 6, Pick 27, well ahead of any board in the building. Not a spot anyone had flagged, which makes it a head-scratcher.
Pick206 Rnd6 Keith Randolph Jr.
Keith Randolph Jr. in pick 206 is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick246 Rnd7 Andrew Raym
They read the board right and Andrew Raym was the payoff at the 246th overall pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
