That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. If Powers-Johnson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The Commanders paired the rookies with proven help, Christian McCaffrey leading the way.

In the end it comes back to Amarius Mims, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
