Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Vikings spent the 244th overall pick on A'Marion Peterson, a name most had 25 spots down the list. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. However the rest shakes out, Abney II at that price is a win they earned.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
