Conviction outran the board for the Vikings, and it cost them: F. The Vikings bet big and early on Frank Gore Jr., 42 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. Little went right, and the F does not pretend otherwise.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The Sainristil pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end. The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
