armstrong3 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

FutureB+
Larceny in pick No. 235 lands the Seahawks a B, McGlothern and all. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Dwight McGlothern got past him. The Seahawks do not have to explain a thing at Round 7, Pick 15. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
If Watson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Adding Steve Avila by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
T'Vondre Sweat
In the 23rd pick they get a wrecking ball inside, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick84
Rnd3
Dominick Puni
They paid sticker price for Dominick Puni in Round 3, Pick 20, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick102
Rnd4
Renardo Green
A safety of that caliber at the 102nd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick118
Rnd4
Tommy Eichenberg
They reached into another round for Tommy Eichenberg, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick154
Rnd5
Trevor Keegan
Nice patience on Trevor Keegan, who had no business lasting to No. 154. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick167
Rnd5
Dallin Holker
A tidy bit of business in the Round 5 slot, where Dallin Holker graded well above the range. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick177
Rnd6
Nathaniel Watson
Nathaniel Watson at slot 177 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick179
Rnd6
Tahj Washington
A reach on Tahj Washington in pick No. 179; the board had better options right there. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick192
Rnd6
Steele Chambers
They paid up for Steele Chambers at the Round 6 slot when waiting would have done the job. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick235
Rnd7
Dwight McGlothern
Dwight McGlothern in slot 235 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick254
Rnd7
Julian Pearl
They will replay Julian Pearl at pick No. 254 for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
