The Patriots clearly saw something nobody else did in Torricelli Simpkins III, taking him 49 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

Getting Collins where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
