No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Broncos.

It is a puzzling start. The Broncos had interior defensive lineman and tight end to solve and reached instead for Maason Smith, a DT-EDGE, at the Round 3 slot. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

Foster falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Adams has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
