The Saints bled value on every deal, hence the D.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Saints did exactly that with David Walker in the 111th pick.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. It is not that Stutsman is a bad player; it is that the Saints had louder needs to answer first. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Stutsman.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
