Phillips should have been long gone. The Commanders pounced, and earned a A-. Whoever sat across the table from the Commanders should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.
On value alone, Phillips makes the weekend a net positive. Every board in the league had Bortolini lower, and that gap is the story.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.
