The tape said wait; the Cowboys did not. Damien Martinez went at the Round 5 slot, a good 54 picks before the board was ready. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Shedeur Sanders is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.

They banked enough surplus on Scourton to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
