There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cowboys took Damien Martinez a full 33 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Put together, it is a D-.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. It is not that Jackson is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.
