There is conviction, and then there is this. The Bears took Zy Alexander a full 108 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Lacy. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Spending an early pick on safety with interior defensive lineman and quarterback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
