The Cowboys bled value on every deal, hence the D+.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cowboys did exactly that with Damien Martinez in pick 171. Too much went sideways, and the D+ is the honest tally.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Cowboys indulged a want in Carter while a need in tight end stayed open.

The Sturdivant value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
