Larceny in the 169th overall pick lands the Cowboys a D-, Klubnik and all.

When a board-topper like Cade Klubnik slides to pick No. 169, you do not overthink it, and the Cowboys did not. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

Every board in the league had Stackhouse lower, and that gap is the story. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Cowboys indulged a want in Gillotte while a need in tight end stayed open.

They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
