Draft Grade — Seahawks

Best value of the weekend goes to the Seahawks for Slaughter: B. Call it larceny. Jake Slaughter sat on the board until the 61st pick, and the Seahawks did not need to be asked twice. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
In pick 29 they get a difference-maker at receiver at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick61
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
The board fumbled Jake Slaughter all the way to the Round 2 slot, and they scooped it up. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick93
Rnd3
Deontae Lawson
They will replay Deontae Lawson at the 93rd pick for years; that is how good the value is. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
