Mondon Jr. should have been long gone. The Commanders pounced, and earned a B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Commanders were there to profit. Smael Mondon Jr., the No. 109 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 205th overall pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Blue has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
