Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B-
ValueC

FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Cardinals. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cardinals took Zion Young a full 22 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Spencer Fano
In pick No. 3 they get a cornerstone up front, though they paid up to get him. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick34
Rnd2
Zion Young
Zion Young at the 34th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
