Draft Grade — Titans

The Titans finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-.

The Titans spent the pick that matters most on Cam Ward, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Riley has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Restrepo.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In Round 1, Pick 1 they get the arm they will build around at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 Landon Jackson
Landon Jackson in pick 35 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick103 Rnd4 Tai Felton
They did well to land Tai Felton in pick No. 103, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick120 Rnd4 Xavier Restrepo
Nice patience on Xavier Restrepo, who had no business lasting to slot 120. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick141 Rnd5 Quincy Riley
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Quincy Riley well ahead of where he belonged. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick167 Rnd5 Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius at the Round 5 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick178 Rnd6 Thomas Fidone II
Thomas Fidone II at the 178th overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick188 Rnd6 Jaydon Blue
A tidy bit of business in No. 188, where Jaydon Blue graded well above the range. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
