FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Seahawks: B. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Seahawks spent the 194th pick on Daequan Hardy, a name most had 31 spots down the list. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The Williams pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back, tight end and other spots still on the board. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Harrison Jr..
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In pick No. 16 they get a true top target, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick78
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe in the 78th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick85
Rnd3
Jaden Hicks
Jaden Hicks at No. 85 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick118
Rnd4
Darius Robinson
They paid sticker price for Darius Robinson in pick 118, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick127
Rnd4
James Williams
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending the 127th overall pick on James Williams with running back, tight end and other spots unsolved.
Pick154
Rnd5
Ty'Ron Hopper
Ty'Ron Hopper at Round 5, Pick 18 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick194
Rnd6
Daequan Hardy
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Daequan Hardy well ahead of where he belonged. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick236
Rnd7
Kedon Slovis
They took Kedon Slovis at par in Round 7, Pick 16, which is nothing to complain about. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
