The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Falcons reached some 34 spots for J.J. Weaver, and value like that does not grow back.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
