If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cowboys would have aced it. Alfred Collins at pick No. 175 is 44 spots clear of where he belonged. Put together, it is a D-.

The Leonard pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
