If confidence were a draft strategy, the Packers would have aced it. J.J. Weaver at the 251st pick is 97 spots clear of where he belonged.

However the rest shakes out, Knight Jr. at that price is a win they earned. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
