The board owed the Texans one, and it paid up: Jake Slaughter, the No. 51 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 69 like a gift left on the doorstep. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Clark has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
