Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Patriots spent slot 125 on Jalen Thompson, a name most had 53 spots down the list.

On value alone, Frazier makes the weekend a net positive. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
