Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B+
ValueA NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Packers let Winston Jr. fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Kevin Winston Jr. tumbling to the Packers in the 237th overall pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The cost of the Lindenberg reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The Packers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick54 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
Somehow Emeka Egbuka was still sitting there in Round 2, Pick 22, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick63 Rnd2 Shavon Revel Jr.
Circle this one: Shavon Revel Jr. at pick 63 is a fall that decides a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick87 Rnd3 Jack Bech
Steal is underselling it; Jack Bech at No. 87 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
Pick124 Rnd4 Jared Wilson
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jared Wilson in slot 124, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick139 Rnd5 Jordan Phillips
Jordan Phillips in the Round 5 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick159 Rnd5 Jah Joyner
They paid sticker price for Jah Joyner in the 159th pick, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick198 Rnd6 Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson in the 198th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick237 Rnd7 Kevin Winston Jr.
The board fumbled Kevin Winston Jr. all the way to pick No. 237, and they scooped it up. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick250 Rnd7 Cody Lindenberg
A reach for Cody Lindenberg in the 250th pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick251 Rnd7 Corey Kiner
Corey Kiner slipping to pick 251 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
